- Fordham University-This major university’s Rose Hill campus is among the largest "open space campuses" in New York City. Fordham’s Rose hill Campus is bordered by the New York Botanical Garden, the Bronx Zoo, and "Little Italy of the Bronx" on Arthur Avenue. Rose Hill's posseses collegiate Gothic architecture, cobblestone streets, and green expanses of lawn have been used as settings in a number of feature films over the years.
- Italian restaurant and neighborhood along Arthur Avenue-This Italian-American community has been around for over a century and boasts numerous restaurants, delis, bakeries, butchers and other Italian eateries.
- The Edgar Allan Poe Cottage-Run by the Bronx Historical Society, the cottage is currently under construction and is slated to re-open sometime in 2009. A small wooden farmhouse built about 1812, the cottage once commanded unobstructed vistas over the rolling Bronx hills to the shores of Long Island. It was a bucolic setting in which the great writer penned many of his most enduring poetical works, including “Annabel Lee,” “The Bells” and “Eureka.”
- The Valentine-Varian House-Run by the Bronx Historical Society, This Georgian stone farmhouse was built in 1758. Second oldest house in the Bronx built by Isaac Valentine in 1758; residence of former Mayor Isaac Varian, Jr. 1838-1841.
- Pelham Bay Park- Pelham Bay Park is the city's largest park.
- Van Cortlandt Park- This is New York’s fourth largest park and it boasts a thousand acres that lie atop the ridges and valleys of the northwest Bronx. The park is home to the country's first public golf course, the oldest house in the Bronx, and the borough's largest freshwater lake.
- City Island-a historic seaport community surrounded by the waters of western Long Island Sound and Eastchester Bay. When you’re there, make sure to visit The Historical Society and Nautical Museum.
