The Five Borough Tour: Part Two

Discover a side of New York City that doesn't feel like a sight-seeing tour. By planning a day around some of the city’s hot spots, delivered in the sophisticated appeal of a stretch limousine, you can view New York as it’s intended to be seen. Take a look at some of our suggestions below.

Sweet Beginnings

What better way to start out the day than by sampling some of the best pastries that the Bronx has to offer. Madonia Brothers Bakery has been serving up baked goods here for three generations, offering a Sicilian twist on traditional treats like their olive and provolone loaves.

Make sure you grab something to go, and then you'll walk it all off in Brooklyn with some clothes shopping at one of their vintage outlets.

Time Traveling in Style

Brooklyn hosts one of the most massive and popular spots for picking up vintage clothing in the area at Beacon’s Closet on 11th Street. Find a denim jacket or resurrect a childhood memory with a secondhand 80’s t-shirt with your favorite hair band of that era. You’ll feel like your ride transported you back in time while you browse through their 5,500 square feet of period clothing and treasures.

Afterward, you should head to see some of the modern art pieces on display in Manhattan.

Artist Appreciation

The Chelsea area of Manhattan houses some of the greatest works of modern art in the city. One of them is Porter Contemporary, whose mission is to introduce the works of established and emerging global artists whose skills take risk into their approach. Walk the gallery and take in the emotion influencing each piece, or even consult with the curator about building your own collection at home.

Now it’s time to enjoy a late lunch at one of the best restaurants in Queens.

Eat Greek

Whether you’re into traditional Greek dining or want to experiment with something modern, Ovelia in Queens offers both exquisitely. Order yourself a cocktail and sit outside on the patio while you wait for your lunch to be served. There is a bustling energy in the environment which can give you a second wind after dining on the Greek fare.

Finally, you can end the day visiting New York City’s greenest borough for a relaxing ride on the Staten Island Ferry.

Take in Lady Liberty

Have your limo drop you at the Staten Island Ferry’s dock.  You’ll get a sense of what New York City is all about as you take in the New York Harbor and Manhattan skyline, all while standing in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty. It's a beautiful, calming way to end the day, and the summation of the city of New York.
