Where to Ring in the New Year in NYC

New Years in New York City can be a bit overwhelming with all of the crushing crowds. Luckily, we know where to go to avoid the chaos and still have a fantastic time counting down the clock.

The NoMad Rooftop

The NoMad Rooftop Party

NoMad Hotel, Manhattan

9pm, $250

The gorgeous NoMad rooftop is hosting DJ Matt Siegel to spin and Leo Robitschek to handle the mixology. Guests will also be able to tuck into endless canapés and scrumptious food stations throughout the space. The clientele is often a more elegant crowd and the views of the New York skyline itself make the ticket price worth it.

Dances of Vice

Grand Prospect Hall, Park Slope, Brooklyn

10pm, $80-$199

This upscale Parisian bash features a grandiose cabaret performance of Le Chat Noir. The evening includes a trip through Paris’s golden ages from the 1890s to the 1920s and is accompanied by a special French feast. Savor the absinthe served in 19th century style and move your feet to the beat in the same manner that the Parisians did on all of those opulent rooftops.

Brooklyn Bridge on NYE with fireworks

Brooklyn Bridge Walk

Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan

Tours start at 10:15pm, $60 adults, $30 children

The Brooklyn Bridge’s guides and historians will lead you through a tour of this historic landmark. It’s also a perfect spot to view the fireworks that shoot off in New York Harbor near Liberty Island. Of course, all of the Brooklyn Bridge guides will pause and allow you to admire the skyline when the fireworks begin.

Knitting Factory NYE Party

Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

8pm, $40-$250

If you want to stick around Williamsburg, head to the Knitting Factory for an awesome night of dancing and free champagne. The noteworthy dream-pop Brooklyn duo, Paperwhite, will be spinning tunes that are sure to get your feet moving and your heart pumping with excitement. Plus, the crowd is always welcoming and eager to intermingle and show off their amazing moves.

Prospect Park on NYE with fireworks

Prospect Park Fireworks

Prospect Park, Brooklyn

11pm, Free

If you want a low-key NYE with steaming hot beverages and a beautiful fireworks show, this is the spot for you. Located right by Grand Army Plaza, the event features live music, complimentary hot chocolate, and plenty of Brooklynites who cozy up on their blankets. Many people also bring their own picnics (champagne!) to add a bit of romanticism.

BangOn! Presents: Time and Space

Secret Brooklyn Warehouse

9pm, $60-$140

This massive dance spectacular is located in a secret warehouse location and favors wild costumes and ripped jeans over champagne and tuxedos. Multiple performers are featured throughout the evening and on two stages during this silent disco as the DJs guide you through time and space. The event also features aerialists, fire breathers, zip line performances, food vendors, and more!

Now that you know where you’re going, be sure to travel in style and get to your destination safely and responsibly with a vintage Rolls Royce, or hop on a party bus with several of your friends to ring in the New Year!
